Cash on Delivery service
With our Cash-Service you can deliver your parcels against cash on delivery to the recipient and thus regulate your money transfer comfortably. You will in addition be able to follow the status of your payments electronically. The option of cash on delivery is part of our optional services which are catered to meet our customers’ demands. Choose this cash on delivery service offering to complement your Business-Parcel dispatch domestically as well as your Euro Business-Parcel dispatch to Austria or Poland.
How our Cash-Service works:
Cash-Service requires the usage of a dispatch system.
Enter address of sender and consignee as well as the amount in Euro.
Please note: Cash-Service parcels to Poland need to be announced in Zloty. Due to changes in currency exchange rates GLS reserves the right to charge a risk buffer amounting to three percent of the current exchange rate. You can find the current exchange rate on the website of the ECB. This enables you to calculate the Zloty value which needs to be announced on the parcel label, in consideration of the 3% risk buffer mentioned above. In the field „Ref.No.“ you can enter e.g. your invoice number or the recipient's customer number. This data will then be indicated on your summary report in addition to parcel number, Cash amount and recipient's name and might be helpful for allocation of the obtained money in your bookkeeping.
As your are used to, you can keep a copy of the parcel label for your paperwork.
