Labelling Guideline

Our labelling guideline provides you with help on how to use the labels correctly. Respecting the labelling guideline helps to make sure that your parcels reach their destination in a safe and quick way.

In order to ensure the smooth parcel handling all necessary parcel labels must be filled in completely and easily readable. Our labelling guideline gives you valuable hints and tips on how to use the additional labels in order to guarantee a safe and quick arrival of your shipment.

Please make sure all relevant parcel labels are being applied onto the largest side of the parcel.

For more information please see our shipping guideline and packaging guideline.

Irrespective of this, the relevant legal regulations concerning the marking, declaration and packing are to be respected. A transport document is to be handed over as well.

If obligatorily identifiable hazardous goods are not indicated, GLS Germany reserves the right to claim for compensation in case of damages.

In order to send safely and to help you with questions on the parcel labelling of hazardous goods, the safety officers in our depots are at your disposal.
