Weight limits

Individual parcels must not exceed 30kg. Above this weight limit, split the merchandise into several parcels, each less than 30kg.
Note: for InNight Small-Parcel, the weight limit is 2kg ; for InNight-Solution, specific weight restrictions are laid down in the contract between GLS and the customer.

Dimensions

The maximum allowed belt measure is 3 meters.
It is calculated by 2 x height + 2 x width + 1 x longest side

If you are using a manual label for your consignments, ensure that the label is legible, written in capitals, in bold or printed.

Important information to include on the slip:

• Forename and surname of the recipient
• Exact address of the recipient
• Recipient's telephone number
• Sender's address, including telephone number
• Weight of the parcel
• Date of sending

You can generate your label via Internet, throughout "Your GLS" using a dedicated password. It can be edited from your printer.

If you use your own labelling system, ensure that the receipt is correctly printed, as the bar code is essential for the correct delivery of your parcel; poorly printed labels can cause delivery delays.

Merchandise not accepted by GLS
These are specified in the General Conditions of Sale and concern, for example:

• Cash, securities and payment titles,
• Perishable foodstuffs,
• Seeds, plants and live animals,
• Weapons etc.

And more generally, any products whose transport is subject to regulation and which require the implementation of special conditions of transport by road or air.

Dangerous merchandise
including explosive, flammable, radioactive, toxic, infectious or corrosive materials.
