The first Parcel Shops in Europe
In the summer of 1997, we announced the opening of the first Parcel Shops in Germany. For the first time, we were offering private and commercial senders with low parcel volume an alternative to the national postal companies.
Expansion within Europe
Now we expand our Parcel Shop network in Europe. The first Shops have already been set up in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and Poland. In addition, more European countries will follow in the future.
Next step
We intend to offer private consignees the option of using our Parcel Shops as an alternative delivery address.
The idea: if consignees are not at home, we deliver the B2C parcels to the nearest Parcel Shop. There, consignees can pick up the parcels on their own, when they have time.
