Parcel prices custom-made! It depends on the size! At GLS, the parcel prices for dispatching from the Parcel Shops are calculated by the size, not by the weight.
From XS as in extra Small, to XL as in extra Large - the Parcel Shop parcels are divided into five different parcel sizes with five price-categories.
The size of your parcel (longest side + shortest side) is measured in your parcel shop with a tape measure.
So now, there are only five different price-categories depending on the size, independent of the weight (max. 40 kg). Your parcel is insured to a maximum amount of 250,- EUR.

When reaching the max. belt measure:
The girth (circumference of the parcel plus longest side) may not exceed 3 m, whereby a maximum length of 2m, a maximum height of 0,6 m, maximum width of 0,8 m and a maximum weight of 40 kg becomes admissible.

Parcels must be appropriately packed suitable for automatic assortment.

If parcels are handed over to the Parcel Shop which can not be transport because of the weight, (heavier than 40 kg) or other reasons, then these parcels will be returned to the parcel shops. Forwarding expenses already paid are not refundable in this case. Additional costs for the return of the parcels will not be charged.
